Fern Field Brooks
Fern Field Brooks is an award-winning TV/Film producer of many shows we all love to watch including MONK and MAUDE. She has worked in every genre of TV and with such renowned entertainment icons as Norman Lear, Christopher Plummer, Tony Shalhoub, Bea Arthur, Estelle Getty and many more. Fern is the recipient of an Emmy, an Oscar nomination, the George Foster Peabody and Humanitas Awards, the NAACP Image Awards, and the Distinguished Service Award from President Reagan for her work to encourage the inclusion and accurate portrayal of people with disabilities in the entertainment industry. Fern’s first book “Letters To My Husband” was published in the USA, Canada and Japan and her current book she calls a “meowmoir”, is a lovely story about a cat called “They Call Me Destiny”.

James Misko
Portland, Oregon and at one time or another made his living as an oil field roughneck, mink rancher, forest service lookout, YMCA Youth Secretary, truck driver, logger, lumber mill hand, journalist, teacher and real estate broker.  Jim’s writing awards include such prestigious accolades as “The Feathered Quill Book Award”, “The Benjamin Franklin IPBA Award”, “The Pinnacle Achievement Book Achievement Award” and others. Ruth Nolan
Ruth Nolan, author, scholar and lecturer is a professor of English and creative writing at College of the Desert in Palm Springs, CA and a former wildland firefighter for the US Forest Service and BLM California Desert District. She is a multi-award-winning author for poetry and short stories with works published in Women’s Studies Quarterly; Desert Oracle; News from Native California; Sierra Club Desert Report; The Desert Sun/USA Today to name a few. Ruth serves on the advisory board for Poets & Writers West, and holds her M.F.A. in Creative Writing and Writing for the Performing Arts from the University of California, Riverside.  She may be reached at ruthnolan@gmail.com
