ScholarshipsPSWIFT is proud to offer scholarships to graduating seniors of Coachella Valley high schools and to students enrolled in post-secondary education programs in fields related to PSWIFT’s mission.
Patti Gribow Student Scholarship
The Palm Springs Women in Film and Television Patti Gribow Student Scholarship was created to provide financial aid to a high school student planning to pursue a degree in the field of filmmaking or a closely related profession such as theater/drama, writing or entertainment. Only high school students are eligible to apply. Eligible applicants must be enrolled in a high school in the Coachella Valley and be in their senior year. Other areas of consideration are talent, academic excellence, and financial need. All applicants must submit a completed application, a work sample that showcases talents related to the focus of this scholarship, and a transcript.
News Channel 3 Scholarship
The News Channel 3 Scholarship was created through a partnership with local media and PSWIFT to provide financial aid and incentive to students of film and beginning filmmakers. The goal of the scholarship is to provide, encourage and support educational opportunities relating to film and to residents of the Coachella Valley who are enrolled in a post-secondary educational program related to filmmaking and the film industry. The purpose of the scholarship program is intended to support budding filmmakers and students of film.
The PSWIFT Scholarship Awards Selection Committee will review all complete applications received by the deadline and collectively determine scholarship recipients. The selection committee, as well as family members of the aforementioned, shall be ineligible for the scholarship award. All completed applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2026. No application will be accepted after this deadline. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Scholarships awarded by PSWIFT typically range between $500-$1,000 per student, depending on funds raised in a given year.
