Palm Springs Women in Film & Television is celebrating film festivals around the world by hosting a members-only mixer featuring Emmy-nominated Black Panther actress, Janeshia Adams-Ginyard.
Janeshia has received accolades for her work in Marvel movies including Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity Wars, Avengers: End Game and most recently, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. She is an actress and stunt woman, professional wrestler, sports radio personality and motivational speaker.
Janeshia is an alumna of the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and minor in African-American Studies with an emphasis on Caribbean Culture. She was a brakeman for the 2006-2007 U.S. National Bobsled Team and host of the popular radio show, "Lady J's Wild World of Sports." In 2012, Janeshia was cast by WOW Women of Wrestling co-owners, David McLane and Jeanie Buss, to play the character Frost the Olympian, based on her real-life experience as a bobsledder.
The actress’s first leading role is in the recently-released Letters at Christmas. She will start filming a horror movie in the summer, and is producing and starring in a short comedy film called The Jamaican Queen and Her Jerk-King.
